  18. This is the EspiSans font used by Apple for Rhapsody/MacOS8/whatever.
  19. Actually it's the only thing I like about the new MacOS :)

  21. The one used by Apple was too bold for me, so I made it thinner.
  22. I hope you agree with me! Since v2, there's a bold version as well,
  23. in case you don't agree.

  25. It has been a hard work, but I think it was worth it. It looks very
  26. nice on screenmodes like HiRes Laced on a 14-15" display, 800x600 on a
  27. 15" or 1024x768 on a 17". Two sizes are supplied: 12 points and 13
  28. points (which is identical to the former, with just one more pixel of
  29. vertical spacing).

  31. I spent many hours working on this font: I had to convert it first
  32. using two utilities or three, then I had to fix spacing and kerning
  33. for every single symbol, since their values had been screwed up during
  34. the conversion. Then I had to remap *manually* the Mac charset to
  35. Latin-1. Try doing that for yourself one day, cutting and pasting
  36. stuff! Last but not least, I had to add many missing Latin-1 glyphs.

  38. Sushiware policy: if you like or use any Sushiware products, you're strongly
  39. advised to go eat at a Japanese restaurant and enjoy some sushi. While you're
  40. there, it'd be a good idea to sip some 'sake' as well. If you don't like raw
  41. fish, offer it to your best friend (or another person of your choice). If you
  42. can't find a Japanese restaurant in your town, or you don't have any friends
  43. or know any people who like it or are worth being offered it, well then as a
  44. last resort send me a postcard. Don't forget to include the word 'sushi' in
  45. your message!

  62. Questo e' il font EspiSans usato da Rhapsody/MacOS8/vattelappesca.
  63. In effetti e' l'unica cosa che mi piaccia di MacOS :)

  65. La versione Apple era troppo 'grassa' per me, cosi' l'ho assottigliata.
  66. Spero siate d'accordo! In caso negativo, dalla v2 e' inclusa anche una
  67. versione in grassetto (condoglianze!).

  69. E' stata una faticaccia, ma credo ne sia valsa la pena. Ha un ottimo
  70. aspetto su modi video come Alta Risoluzione Interlacciata su display da
  71. 14-15", 800x600 su 15" o 1024x768 su 17". Fanno parte della distribuzione
  72. due dimensioni: 12 e 13 punti. Sono virtualmente identiche: l'unica
  73. differenza e' una interlinea maggiore per la seconda.

  75. Ho speso molte ore su questo font: prima e' stato necessario convertire
  76. l'originale usando due o tre utility (sembra proprio che non esista un
  77. programma specifico che FUNZIONI), poi mi e' toccato mettere a posto
  78. spaziatura e crenatura per ogni singolo carattere, dal momento che tali
  79. valori erano stati persi e alterati dal processo di conversione.
  80. Quindi ho rimappato *manualmente* i caratteri Mac sul set Latin1 di Amiga.
  81. Provate a farlo da voi un giorno, tagliando e incollando a destra e
  82. manca... Infine, ma non meno importante, ho aggiunto molti simboli del set
  83. Latin1 che mancavano nel font di partenza.

  85. Distribuzione Sushiware: se usate frequentemente prodotti Sushiware, siete
  86. invitati a gustare del sushi in un ristorante giapponese. Non sarebbe una
  87. cattiva idea prendere anche del sake', visto che ci si trova. Nel caso non
  88. vi piaccia il pesce crudo, offritelo al vostro migliore amico (o amica, o
  89. altra persona a vostra scelta). Nel caso non vi siano ristoranti giapponesi
  90. nella vostra citta' o non abbiate amici o non conosciate alcuna persona a
  91. cui piaccia o a cui valga la pena offrirlo, beh, come ultimo tentativo
  92. speditemi una cartolina. Non dimenticate la parola 'sushi' nel vostro
  93. messaggio!
